Mae I Guide You
VISION
Companion guiding is a style of guiding that provides opportunities to dissolve into nature by keeping the focus on the journey rather than the destination.
Mae I Guide You is a companion guiding service offering personalised outings through the woods and over the waters. By moving through nature with calmness and intention, clients are able to easily relax, allowing wildlife to follow suit. Our slower, gentler pace also allows the natural world to relax, often resulting in more wildlife sightings and interactions. ~
By primarily serving individuals and small groups, we are better able to meet individual needs. Outings are adaptable to suit all levels of fitness and varying levels of energy. Whether we work together once during a vacation or on a regular basis throughout the year, you will receive the same degree of attentiveness to your needs on the day of the session. All experiences include tools to facilitate deep nature connection.

Accessibility
Accessibility is one of Mae I Guide You's core values. Whether it's temporary physical restrictions, developing ones, or ones that have always been with you we will adjust our trips or create a custom one that will ensure your ability to enjoy the outdoors for many years to come. Our commitment to private trips also helps to accommodate folks who may struggle with mental health concerns that may limit their ability to participate in a traditional large group experience.
Covid-19 Statement
During the ongoing pandemic I feel it prudent to disclose to clients my current personal safety protocols. I use a high quality respirator in all indoor public spaces and test at home weekly. If you are interested in my services but require additional safety measures, please contact me and I will do my very best to follow your guidelines. Be well, Mae
ABOUT MAE
Registered Maine Guide
Before I found ways to be intentional in nature, I regarded it as a backdrop to my many outdoor hobbies. I felt better after spending time outside, but still struggled with a baseline of anxiety and a lot of fear. Over years of seeking better lifeways, I collected tools like new ways of movement and a variety of meditations that helped me to slow down outside. Not only did I start to see more wildlife (eventually even getting to feel chickadees eat from my palm), but gradually my overall fear and anxiety started to diminish. Today, almost any time I am pushing myself physically outdoors, there is a certain amount of time that I also spend in stillness. This quiet time is how I express gratitude to the natural world. By being in nature in this more gentle way, by relaxing into the wonders around me, the din of the human world is diminished. I feel invigorated and refreshed.
